MAZAL TOV ON THE NEWEST (soon to come) ADDITION TO YOUR FAMILY!

Judaism teaches us that each child brings tremendous blessing for oneself and one family.

We would love to help guide you in the many ways that our community can bring the richness of Jewish life to your family and your newborn baby. Feel free to contact Rabbi Moshe if you have questions about names, ceremonies, information on how to begin your child's Jewish journey or simply want to share your joy.

We look forward to sharing your simcha with you!

BRIT MILAH/BABY NAMING

If you are expecting (or have just had) a boy, you may be considering a Brit Milah or Bris ceremony for your son.

This ritual, which occurs on the eighth day of the baby’s life (or is delayed till the baby is fully healthy when needed), includes the timeless ceremony of circumcision and the formal entry into the covenant of the Jewish people. Traditionally, the Hebrew name is announced at this time as well, linking him both to his family and to the historic tradition of our people.

Rabbi Moshe is able to provide you with additional information on this momentous occasion in the life of a baby boy and his family, and give you contact information for Mohalim (specially-trained professionals who perform the circumcision) in your area.

Rabbi Moshe may also officiate at the Bris and baby naming ceremony with a public naming ceremony at the Bimah of our congregation. We are happy to share this experience with you and your family.

The Bris can take place at a location of your choosing. Chabad is happy to host it as well, click here for more information about sponsoring a Kiddush or catering a simcha.

BIRTH OF A BABY GIRL

The Baby Naming ceremony is a beautiful tradition performed shortly after a baby girl’s birth. We invite the baby and her parents to join us as at the Torah to give the newborn baby girl her Hebrew name and offer a blessing to her and her family.

This tradition is particularly lovely since the community can share in this joyous occasion together with the family. We look forward to sharing this experience with you, and your family.
